UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals Celebrates the Year of the Tiger Thanks to Panda Express
UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland rang in the Lunar New Year with a special Year of the Tiger themed Virtual Bingo made possible thanks to the support of longtime partner Panda Express. Filmed in the Panda Cares Center of Hope, our child life team decorated our teen lounge/tv studio, shared Lunar New Year trivia, and played virtual bingo with the patients. Lunar New Year was not the only reason to celebrate. Panda Express through their Panda Cares Center of Hope initiative at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland recently announced their 2021 fundraising total of $630,000 to the hospital. In 2022, funds from Panda Express will help the Center for Pediatric Pain, Palliative, and Integrative Medicine to ensure that every patient’s pain, symptoms, and emotional needs are addressed, and expansion of the Cochlear Implant Program to allow more kids to hear for the first time. Panda Express’s support continues to allow us to support the physical, emotional mental, and spiritual needs of our patients.
