Turner Construction Volunteer Day at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland

On May 15th, volunteers from Turner Construction teamed up with UCSF staff for a meaningful morning at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals Oakland. Together, they rolled up their sleeves to support our bi-weekly Food Farmacy and Community Kitchen programs—both vital initiatives that provide fresh food and groceries to families experiencing food insecurity.

The Food Farmacy is a long-standing program designed to combat food insecurity by providing families with bags of fresh groceries, carefully packed and distributed by volunteers. In just a few hours, Turner Construction’s team helped assemble and hand out hundreds of grocery bags, ensuring that more than 100 families went home with nutritious food.

Additionally, volunteers took part in the Community Kitchen—our newest effort to nourish families in a more personal way. Through this hands-on program, volunteers prepare fresh, home-cooked meals right on-site for families with children receiving care in our hospitals.

We are incredibly thankful to Turner Construction Company for helping us care for our families in such a personal and impactful way. Your partnership and generosity continue to inspire us!
